If you do not have the Industry Accounts option available in your Tasks bar, you can activate the Explore menu by selecting in User Preferences. Industry Accounts is divided into three tabs: Reports, IxI Social Accounting Matrix, and IxI Input Output Accounts.
REPORTS
Industry Accounts begins with the Reports tab.
View By:
The button is used to select from four available reports.
indicates the current selection.
shows the distribution of each Industry's production to Institutions, Capital, Inventory, and Exports from Study Area Industries.
divides the total Household's consumption, provided in Institution Industry Demand, into the 9 Household income classes.
expands the government consumption into three Federal and three State and Local government types.
shows total Industry expenditures and receipts. Purchases are detailed by Industry (Intermediate Outlay), Institution, Imports, and Value Added, while receipts are broken into Final Demand and Intermediate Output.
Copy
Any part of the Study Area Explorer table can be copied and pasted into another program by selecting the information and clicking on the button. Information is selected by clicking on the
to the left of the Industry Code. Select multiple items by holding the Ctrl key. To highlight the entire table, click in the upper left hand corner of the table, as indicated by the mouse pointer in the image below.
The selected information is placed on your computer's clipboard.
Export
The export function allows data to be exported directly to an Excel File or Comma Separated Value File formats.
To Excel File
saves the selected table to an excel database. The default directory for storing these files is:
The Save As window allows you to change the directory and the name of the file. If is selected in User Preferences, excel will open automatically displaying the newly imported data.
To Comma Separated Value File
saves the selected table in CSV format. The default directory for storing these files is:
The Save As window allows the you to change the directory and the name of the file.
Structural Matrices Elements
Provides a detailed Industry breakdown of purchases from other Industries. The Industry x Industry equivalent of the absorption matrix, the Direct Coefficients show how much of each dollar of Outlay is spent by each Industry on purchases from each other Industry within the region.Since certain Value Added information and imports are not included, these coefficients do not sum to one.
shows values in dollars. The Industry x Industry equivalent of the use matrix, the transactions show the dollar amount each Industry purchases from each other Industry in the Study Area. These values are derived from the Direct Coefficients.
shows the dollar value each Industry spends on imports of intermediate demand.
shows the value of Institutional imports.

IxI Social Accounting Matrix
View By:
There are two views in the Industry x Industry Accounts: Aggregate IxI SAM and Detail IxI SAM. The drop down menu can be used to move between the two views. indicates the current selection.
(rows and columns are aggregated) provides an overview of the entire IxI Social Accounting Matrix. Categories in both rows and columns show totals for all types of monetary transactions.
columns remain aggregated; however, rows are presented with Industry, Value Added, Institutions, and trade transactions divided additionally by transaction types. Numeric and verbal descriptions of transactions are included.
Copy

To Industry Detail SAM Files (CSV Only)
saves to a CSV format. This is the Industry x Industry SAM with full detail for Industries and aggregated rows for Inter-Institutional transfers. The default directory for storing these files is:

provides a complete table of payment and receipt transactions between Industries including full row detail of Inter-Institutional transfers by transfer type. This file saves to a CSV format. The default directory for storing these files is:

To GAMS File
These files provide Social Accounting Matrix data in two different formats to work with standartized CGE models.
IxI Input Output Accounts
IxI Input Output Accounts (Industry x Industry) provide an expanded view of the Industry and Institutional purchases and production shown in the IxI SAM matrix.
