Users can create a customized aggregate industry from a group of industries by following the instructions below. For information about accessing the Aggregation Builder and using customized aggregate industries, click here.
- Select Options > Aggregation
- Select Add.
- Type the name of your custom Aggregate Sector, and click OK.

- The name of the new Sector will appear in the User Defined Aggregation Scheme window under Description.

- The code for the newly created Sector will appear as 0 until industries are added to the aggregate Sector. This code will be taken from the Sector that is chosen first.

- Creating a new Sector activates the Sectors window.
- Select the desired Sectors by clicking Select or by double clicking on the Sector. Multiple Sectors may be selected using the Ctrl key. Selecting a Sector moves it from the Unaggregated window to the Aggregated window.

- To remove a Sector from the Aggregated list, click
- The
buttons move the entire Unaggregated/Aggregated list in the direction of their arrow keys.

- Once a custom aggregate Sector has been created, additional Sectors may be made by clicking
. To view the IMPLAN sectors that have been included in a custom aggregated Sector, click on the aggregate Sectors name in the User Defined Aggregation Scheme window.
Note
If you are building multiple custom aggregation schemes and get the following error, you need to be sure that all previously created aggregation sectors have been populated prior to creating a new aggregation sector.
Click and then find the Sector in the User Defined Aggregation Scheme that is listed as 0. Populate this Sector with at least one IMPLAN Sector, or
the Aggregated Sector from the scheme.
