INTRODUCTION:
Tax Impacts are divided into State/Local governments (top half of the screen) and Federal government agencies (bottom half of the screen).
Tax impact values show the amount of revenue generated for governments from Employee Compensation, Proprietor Income, Tax on Production and Imports, Households, and Corporations based on the modeled impact.
The initial screen shows Total tax values collected as a result of the economic impact. Tax impacts can also be displayed by Direct, Indirect, and Induced tax values. Both State/Local and Federal will change when a view is selected in this menu.
Views can also be sorted in ascending or descending order by using the buttons at the top of the fields. When a Sector has been sorted with one of these buttons, an arrow will appear to the right of the name indicating whether the sort was ascending or descending.
STATE/LOCAL:
State/Local shows State and Local government tax types and their value of collection as a result of the modeled impacts on the Study Area. These tax types are combined and cannot be separated into state vs local within the software.
FEDERAL:
Federal shows a breakdown of Federal tax types and their value of collection as a result of the modeled impacts on the Study Area.
