IMPLAN Pro: Reconstructing your Model

INTRODUCTION:

Once certain parameters are modified in User Preferences, the model will need to reconstructed. This is typically prompted by the greying out of most Tasks bar functions and the progress bar message: Your IMPLAN model has been changed, you will need to reconstruct your model.

Users wishing to preform analyses should always build the model through Multipliers. Advanced Users may prefer to build to a specific step in the tables. These options can be located in the Toolbar menu by Selecting Options > Construct.

SOCIAL ACCOUNTS:

There are four elements involved in generating the Social Accounts. All four steps must be completed before Social Accounts can be viewed.

All Steps: Generates the complete Social Accounts. This must be done when editing the data in the Customize Menu.

Regional Absorption: Creates Regional Absorption Tables.

Regional Byproducts: Creates Regional Byproducts Tables.

Commodity Accounts: Creates Commodity Accounts.

Social Accounts (SAM): Generates complete Industry x Commodity accounts.

INDUSTRY ACCOUNTS:

Selecting Industry Accounts will generate all previous accounts and the Industry x Industry accounts.

MULTIPLIERS:

Choosing Multipliers to reconstruct your model rebuilds the entire model, including Multipliers which will generate the Multiplier Reports. Once complete, the model is ready to perform analyses.
