When approaching an indirect impact estimate using the factor approach, you must remember to add the initial indirect amount to that estimated by the model to have the full indirect impact. Are the employment amounts shown when modeling the indirect impact the total employment impact or is there an adjustment to employment like adding the initial indirect amount described in the first paragraph?

  • You need to add back the employment. When you run just a household income impact, the model has no way of knowing the direct employment.
