Fed proc Data Center data at county level
Greetings,
I would like to disect the expenditures and sales of the Federal Government that I have retrieved from IMPLAN for 2006. I tried to navigate in the Fed. Procurement Data Center with no success, do you have any hint on how to retrieve the data used by IMPLAN using the Fed. web site?
Thanks in advance.

The federal procurement database has become extremely obnoxious to use. They now post literally hundreds of small xml database files. For the 2007 database, it convinced us to go to the more technically correct estimation of demand by local Federal establishments, rather than National demand by Federal contract. In other words we distribute the National average spending pattern of the the BEA benchmark table. One of the projects on my plate is to create a database of Federal demands using the procurement database for use in impact analysis. It will be announced on the website, but not anytime soon. Sorry. -
