subdividing impacts within a region
I have a metro region and then a city within that region. Let's say company X, which is located in the city, expands output by $1 million. I want to identify the impacts of that $1 million expansion both for the larger region and for the city within the region. The city impacts will presumably be a part of the regional impacts and therefore will be smaller.
How do I make this happen?
Thanks.

Ideally, you would have the data for each zip-code in the metro region. Using the zip-code data, you would build two models: one for the city and the other for the remaining metro region. Then you would perform Multi-Regional Input-Output (MRIO) analysis, which is a capability of the IMPLAN software.
