I would like to enquire about the data in industry codes 397 (private hospitals) and 398 (nursing and residential care facilities) in Butte County, Idaho, 2009. For the private hospital – including the assisted living center at the hospital in 2009 they had 99 employees, output was $7million and employee wages were about $2million. The IMPLAN industry code 397 reads 383 jobs, 69.1Million in output and $40Million in wages. For nursing & residential care – Butte county only has the assisting living center at the hospital, Joshua Smith which is day-care/training & the Darlington shelter home. All three of these together might have 20-25 employees so MAYBE you could get to 82 with turnover in 2009. But 6.9 million in output and 4.6 million in wages in IMPLAN is a stretch. The Idaho National Laboratory does have some medical facilities with a couple of full time doctors and a few nurses. It is not clear that this service is private and if was private it would not add up to 383 part time or full time jobs, as recorded in IMPLAN. Do you have an explanation for the very large discrepancy in the data? How did you arrive to the numbers in these two industry codes? Thanks. Abelardo Rodríguez
