Labor Income / Economic Output
When calculating the effects of a construction project, is labor income (construction workers) included as a part of the total direct economic output of a project.
So when we look at the direct effects of the construciton project, is the labor income number a subset of the total direct economic output?

IMPLAN SupportHi Kate, Output reflects the complete dollar value of the impact and should never have any other values added to it. By defintion Output = Intermediate Expenditures (purchases of goods and Services) + Value Added. Value Added = Labor Income (Employment Compensation + Proprietor Income)+ Indirect Business Tax (taxes on production) + Other Property Type Income (profits and divends) So in regards to your results table, you would never want to add across the columns of the Summary Results as Labor Income is a subset of Value Added and Value Added is a subset of Output.
