If a company uses contract workers (hired through a temp agency), do we consider the contract workers part of the direct impact? Or do we only use the count of employees officially on its payroll as the direct impact, and let the model pick up the contract workers through its supply chain in the indirect impact?

  • Hello Qiang, The payroll and Employment should be counted as Indirect if the temp services company pays the salary of the temp workers but under Direct if the company itself is paying the salary directly to the temp workers. So you will want to include them in your Direct numbers, only if the company is paying them directly. Let us know if you have more questions.
