I am planning on buying new data from IMPLAN to update a project with an established methodology which had used pre-2000 IMPLAN data. In order to not change the methods, we want to make a bridge from the classifications of the newest data back to the old classifications since the SIC/NAICS codes have changed. Our old data had 516 numbers. I only find that IMPLAN used 528 or 509. We have several data sources to cross with (IMPLAN numbers, SIC, and what I believe is BEA), but none of them match anything that I can find. As an example: ID# 2, BEA 1020001, SIC 0252 - Eggs ID# 3, BEA 1020002, SIC 0251 - Poultry In neither 528 or 509 are Eggs and Poultry separate yet they are in our database. A direct comparison with SIC is also not possible because some IMPLAN numbers split the SIC numbers. ID# 4, BEA 1030101, SIC 0214pt - Sheep ID# 8, BEA 1030202, SIC 0214pt - Wool This was originally purchased from IMPLAN and we are hoping to get a bridge table that will match what we have. Is there anything available that can do this?
