I have run a contribution analysis of all 19 agricultural sectors in a multi-county study area. I have the data from both the model overview and contribution analysis and I was wondering if it is appropriate to to compare the total employment from the model overview with either the direct or total employment effects of my contribution analysis to get the percent of total employment that the ag sectors account for. The total employment from the model overview is 25714.40 and the direct employment from my contribution analysis is 2832.80 and total employment effect is 3441.10. Is it accurate to say that the ag sectors account for either 11.0% of jobs (using only direct employment effects) or 13.4% of jobs (using total effects)? These same questions apply to labor income, value added and output. Thanks! Liz
