Adding a new sector to an existing model
The model for my community does not include sector 72 - wineries. How can I add this sector to my existing model so as to determine the impact of a new winery?

IMPLAN SupportHello, This indicates that for the year of your dataset, no industries reported under a certain NAICS code for wineries. Since commodities are produced by industries(sectors), you will need to add the sector to the model. You have a few options. Analysis By Parts is the most effective, but also requires quite a bit of knowledge of the industry like how it spends its money, how many jobs and how much workers are paid. You can find detailed instructions at this link: http://www.implan.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=730:case-study-analysis-by-parts&catid=264:KB43 Another method is to add $1 into the output of the industry 71 through the Customize>Study Area Data screen: http://www.implan.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=545:545&catid=235:KB18 This link will show you in more detail how to add a Sector to an IMPLAN model: http://implan.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=133&Itemid=1588 Please let us know if you have additional questions.0
