Hi, I would typically not include land into an industry change model (for a construction project) as it is considered a transfer of assets but I am currently working on a project in which the client is procuring Right-of-Way payments for each parcel along the construction path. They are giving land owners funds in order to legally maintain, access, and construct on their property temporarily. The landowners are compensated for the use of land (one time) but there is no transaction or "transfer of land". What sector could that be put into? Is there something related to a land use payment? Thanks Gabi

  • Hi Gabrielle. Thank you for your post. Yes you can model the receipt of the compensation to the land owners in a Household Income Change Activity Type. With a Household Income Changes, you will need to define the household income type, and the resulting impacts are based on spending habits of the Household income class selected in the Events Sector. If you do not know what the income levels are of the various land owners, then one option would be to use the median household income for your region. http://implan.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&layout=edit&id=169 Thanks!
