Run IMPLAN by Classification
Hello,
I am wondering if it is possible in IMPLAN to run an analysis showing the impacts on a region by classification? For example, could I run something that shows the impact on South Dakota in the overall Agriculture sector (or manufacturing) or would I have to go in and select each individual sectors and then roll them all up in one event? I wonder if I could do some type of aggregated classification to do that? If I can, are there step by step directions someplace?
Thank you,
Rachel

Hi Rachel, Thank you for your post! IMPLAN will allow you to aggregate to either a 2 or 3 digit NAICS code. As this would give you a broader group such as (Agriculture and Manufacturing, etc). You can aggregate in two different ways: 1: Aggregate the sectors prior to setting up your activity/event. Thus the aggregated sectors will be run through the multipliers. Aggregate the sector results instead of aggregating before they are run through the model.
