Household Income Definition & Source
Greetings-
I'm assessing the economic impact of population in-migration via Household Income Change. IRS publishes County migration inflows which includes Adjusted Gross Income (AGI), which can be divided by the number of returns to obtain an average AGI. How does this number relate to IMPLAN's nine household income categories? What is their definition & source?
Thanks

Hi Tom, Thank you for your post! The income categories listed at the top of the SAM are Consumer Expenditure Survey categories with a little bit of aggregation at the upper income levels to match the Decennial Census categories. These values represent money income, the definition of which is included in the attached papers which do not make mention of any deductions, whereas Adjusted Gross Income is calculated by subtracting "above-the-line deduction" from gross income. Thanks!
