2013 output deflator table

The link to the deflator spreadsheet (hbecffd0.xlsx)is for 440 sectors. Do you have an updated version for both output and GDP deflators for the 536 sector scheme? The other link (h110a815.xlsx) is only output. Thank you.

Hi Judie, The spreadsheet attached above does indeed have deflators for the 536 sectors. If you wouldn't mind please taking a second look at it - let us know if you still have trouble. The same spreadsheet also includes the GDP Deflators - those are the deflators for the institutions (sectors 10001+, located at the bottom of the spreadsheet). Thanks!

The spreadsheet entitled "hbecffd0" is output deflators for 2011 and ends with sector 440. The GDP worksheet within this file is entitled GDP deflators 2011. Are these 2011 output delfators the most current year available? The spreadsheet entitled "h110a815" does have the output deflators for all 536 sectors, but there is not another worksheet included in this file with the GDP deflators. Can you please provide the most current GDP deflators. Thank you.

Hi Judie, The 2013 GDP deflators are in the same tab as the 2013 Output deflators - they are at the bottom of the worksheet (i.e., the last rows).

I downloaded the 2013 deflator file. I want to compare 2012 and 2013 data (employment, output, and value-added components). I had hoped that I could simply do this within IMPLAN (basically view the entire 2013 data in 2012 dollars). I think that I simply need to export the data to Excel and apply the deflators to all of the 2013 dollar data (output/VA components). Is this correct?

If you are looking at one or a couple the easiest method is You can certainly adjust the deflators in IMPLAN so as to see the 2012 dollars in the 2013 base year data. You can Setup the Activity(s) so that your Event Year is 2012, enter your input value and run the impact. Then change the Dollar Year for View to 2012. However if you are converting the whole Study Area Data information, you are correct...I have attached a different version of the spreadsheet that includes the deflators for Labor Income and the Value Added factors.

Thank you! The file was exactly what I needed to apply to the entire study area data. My purpose was to deflate some 2013 values to make them comparable to 2012 values for reporting purposes (so I changed the base from 2013 to 2012). Someone in MI will be doing this annually to track forest industry changes, so it would be nice to have quick, easy access to this sort of data. You should consider posting this spreadsheet as a download file and also including the federal government source website. Very helpful and timely!
