Industry Spending Pattern: Imported vs. Manual

Hello, What is the difference between the Industry Spending Pattern that is imported (Activity Options > Import > Industry Spending Pattern) and the Industry Spending Pattern obtained manually through New Activities (New Activity > Industry Spending Pattern)? They have the same name, but they do not seem to be the same. Thank you very much! Andrew

  Hello, The Industry Spending Pattern that you import is a complete spending pattern for the industry you choose. The Industry Spending Pattern Activity that you manually choose, you have to enter in your own Commodities and coefficients. Thus for the one created through the New Activity functionality it is anticipated that you are creating a novel Industry rather than using one of the 536 (2013 data) or 440 (2012-2007 data) Industry Sectors that are pre-defined in IMPLAN.
