"Rest of State" Concept
Hello,
I am interested in viewing impacts for a Country and the rest of the state. How do you recommend that I represent the "rest of state" concept using the country or state total data packages? Should I run the same inputs for both the County and the State total and subtract the Country results from the State results?
Thank you very much!
Andrew

IMPLAN SupportHi Andrew! Thank you for your post. If you have the State Level Package, all counties in the State and US and that State's total file, then you can build a Model with all of the other counties in the state minus the initial county. However from your post it sounds as if you do not have the State Package but just the State Total File. Backing out the county level information from the original model build in the State Model is not clean cut. This is due to the Total File being an aggregate of the counties, so the data ex..Output per Worker and Employee Compensation per Worker are averages. However when looking at a single county Model, it retains its unique values. Here is an article that explains how to conduct this analysis: http://implan.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4010
