Hotel service levels
Hello,
I'm looking to compare the economic impacts of a luxury, full-service hotel to those of a limited-service hotel. Given the different spending patterns of the clientele of each, I would expect there to be some significant differences in their economic impacts. I'm thinking to measure the comparison as "per $1,000,000 of industry sales."
As far as I could find, there's only one industry code for hotels (499). Is there a way to differentiate between the two classes of hotels? And would you recommend any specific steps as part of my comparison?

Hi Dima! Thank you for your post. Unfortunately the Industry list does not break out luxury hotels to those of limited service hotels. As they are all grouped under Sector 499. However, you can customize the Spending Pattern to adjust those Commodities to better reflect the luxury hotel spending. I have included an article that further discusses this advanced level of analysis: http://implan.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&layout=edit&id=359 This article is for the IMPLAN Pro version and details how to run an Analysis by Parts. You can also view in the Model the list of commodities that are required for Sector 499 before starting your analysis. Explore > Social Accounts > Balance Sheets > Commodity Demand tab > select sector 499 Thanks!
