Negative Other Property Type Income
I'm running the impact of a hospital system, and when I use sector 475, Offices of Physicians, Other Property Type Income is negative, sometimes making the total output less than value added. Why would OPTI come out negative? Is it something particular to that sector?

IMPLAN SupportHello Natalie, In order to best answer your question, could you provide more detail as to your analysis methodology? Items of particular interest: 1. Platform: Is this IMPLAN Online or IMPLAN Pro? 2. Methodology: Are you using a standard Industry Change activity type? If not, please describe your methodology. 3. Data Year: What data year are you using? 4. Event Year: What are you using for your Event Year? 5. Model Region: What is your model region? If you cannot provide this information in the forum, feel free to email the details to support@implan.com. PI, OPI, and TOPI can all be negative. Negative OPI can happen even at the U.S. level, which it has for sector 475 for the past 3 years. If the factors involved are Other Property Type Income or Taxes on Production & Imports, these do not impact the Indirect and Induced results as both of these factors are treated as leakage. IMPLAN SupportGood Evening Natalie! Thank you for the additional information. The information in the last post is still relevant and still holds true with your analysis. Did you customize your event? If so, this would explain why your Output is less than Value Added.0

Yes, in this order I changed event year, employee compensation, then number of employees. The value added is less than labor income when I do it in this order, which should be correct based on information in other forum posts. How would customizing cause this?0
