Industry Code Definition
We would like to know if physicians (MDs or DOs) are included in the "employee" count for industry code 394 ("Offices of Physicians, Dentists, and Other Health Practitioners"). If so, is it just physicians or are non-physician office staff included as well?

It's not an "employee" count but rather an employment count. Proprietors -ie, self-employment (or employees for a sub-S corporation) as well as, wage and salary staff are included in the employment count. So, it would include all labor associated with the establishment classified as a NAICs code included in sector 394.0
