Undercounting
I am doing an impact analysis of the film and music industries in Louisiana. Many of the jobs that have been created by their incentives are part time jobs. How are these captured in IMPLAN using BEA, and is there a conservative estimate of the extent of undercounting in industries like these?

The BEA counts part-time jobs the same as full-time; however there is an adjustment for short term or seasonal jobs (a job that lasts 1 month is 1/12th of a job). If an industry has many part-time jobs it will show up in the average income per worker. It is the income that drives the induced effects.
