Data in Cesus region challenging results
My firm completed a study using 2009 Implan data for a city, and the city has inquired how the data accounts for their recent challenge of the Census findings (they claim the census accounted for about 40,000 less people in the population).
Can you help me respond to their question? My guess is that the data is not affected, but some further exlpanation would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi Casey, We do not go back and adjust our data after Census makes adjustments to theirs. Since households drive the induced effect, you could do a post-analysis adjustment to the induced effects: 1. Calculate the average induced effect per person 2. Multiply this number by 40,000 3. Add this to the induced effects previously estimated.
