Multi-family Construction
When comparing new multi-family apartment construction with rehabilitation of existing multi-family developments where the rehabilitation is the alteration, improvement or modification of an existing structure;
Which sector codes should be used?
It appears that sector 38 applies to the new construction of multi-family apartments.
It appears that sector 40 would NOT apply to rehabilitation because we are not "maintaining or repairing" anything but rather altering, improving, or modifying". We are not fixing air conditioners in rehab, we are replacing. We are not repairing the roof in rehab, we are replacing. We are not fixing the appliances in rehab, we are replacing. We are not maintaining the carpet in rehab, we are replacing.
Am I correct in choosing sector 38 for both new construction of multi-family apartments and rehab of existing apartments?
