GAMS single file
I generated a single GAMS file for 2008 dataset using "Social Accounts->IxC Social Accounting Matrix->Detail SAM->Export->Gams Single File" I noticed that for all State files there are duplicate records. E.g. for Alabama dataset the following record appears in row 58526 and 60471 (which creates error when reading in GAMS.)
2.15052.3002 1.781518E-001
How do I filter to avoid duplicate entries for the GAMS file dump.
Also, is there a way to avoid dumping accounts for 1001 (Industry Total) and 2001 (Commoditiy Total)?
Thanks.

You are correct on the duplications - the industry make matrix is in the file twice (<1000.15052.<4000 and >3000 x.xxxxxExxx) A fix for this will show up in the next update. The format of the file is fixed and there is no mechanism for a user to change it. The totals are required for Rutherford's CGE GAMS program which is why the GAMs files are available. -
In the file that I generated (single GAMS file) I do not see Export by sector. I expected Export by sector to have the following three dimensions (1*440)*(3001*3440)*(25001,28001) - sector::commodity::Trade Destination. Can you please verify that I am interpretating this correctly. I looked at some states at random (AK, CA, AR). Also, are the specs of the single GAMS file something that I can download from the website? Thanks. -
I'll have to double check that on Monday, but if I remember correctly the trade is only a single vector and not a matrix. The 26 file output had a trade matrix. The single file was created for Tom Rutherfords GAMS model quite awhile ago. I think you are the first to use it since V3 was released. I'll check for the doco on the 26 file version. I never created any thing for the single file, but the coding in the 26 file document was the same. I should be able to release an update early next week to fix that double entry of the make table. -
This is the first time I am trying to create the GAMS file. The single GAMS file using V3 seems to be inconsistent (missing parts) with the file that you used to create independently. There are lot more records in the V3 files then what you used to provide e.g in st06-AK.gms (for the 2006 base year). Thanks for your attention and will wait for the update.
