Hello, I was wondering, are there any occupations that would refer to the Aviation Maintenance industry? This would refer to technicians, repairmen, mechanics etc. who primarily repair and maintain upkeep of airplanes. Thanks, Todd

  Hi Todd, I believe sector 338 will be your best fit. I was able to find this out by using the Sector Search feature in IMPLAN: 1. Go to Help > Sector Search 2. Type in the keyword "repair" 3. Click on "Industry Code" heading to sort by IMPLAN sector, then scroll down to sector 338 and you will see aircraft maintenance and repair services.

  Hi Jenny, Thank you very much for the quick reply. Do you know if "Aircraft maintenance and repair" was in earlier versions of the IMPLAN model? I was looking at the 2007 sector list and wasn't able to find this sector. Sector 338 was coded for "Scenic and sightseeing transportation and support activities for transportation". I was also wondering, do you know if there's anywhere I could look to find out if the "Aircraft maintenance and repair" sector is an aggregate or a line item with employment and revenue data? Thanks for your help, Todd

  Its embeded in the "support activities for transportation". Not a very specific sector. You could try the Bureau of Labor Statistics Covered Wages and Employment data for more detail.
