Modeling Question
I want to model construction impacts for railroad construction project, but can't find an applicable sector. Due to the volume of steel content that is required in railroad construcion, I do not feel comfortable in using ""Construction of new nonresidential strucuture" for this analysis. At the moment, I have costs for engineering services, labor and materials. Any advise? Thanks.

Unfortunately, that kind of construction project has limited data available. The first question to ask is whether the steel is actually made in your region. If not, then there is no local production of steel and all the steel is imported so there is no local impact. In that case the data you have is enough. If there is steel and you will buy locally, then you can make some estimate on your own. A google search would probably yield the amount of steel required per mile of rail line.
