A matrix
Recently I asked about how to recover A matrix from IMPLAN. Basically I want to develope my own model and I
need to recover A matrix. Do you know how to do this? Someone told me to do the following step, but I couldn't find structural matrices elements step. Also does this matrix shows all the industries (426)?
In IMPLAN, the “A” matrix can be found by going to Explore > Industry Accounts > Reports tab > Export > Structural Matrices Elements > Regional IxI Direct Coefficients

IMPLAN SupportHi James, We just wanted to let you know that while you are able to export this information from the Model, per the user license agreement section 3.3 you are not allowed to use any data from IMPLAN to create an other Models that will be used for anything other than your personal use. If other in your company/group or outside of your company will be accessing the model you are creating, you will need to contact our sales staff @ sales.implan.com or 651.439.4221 x 2 to obtain the proper licensing for your intended use. Oops I apologize it looks like there was a hiccup in theinstructions. If you are in the right screen (i.e. you've located the Explore > Social Accounts > Reports tab) The Structural Matrices elements are the last of the 3 options under the Export button that is near the middle in upper third of the page. Please let us know if you are still having issues locaing the Export button, or if you need to obtain correct licensing.0 -
Previously I asked about getting a A matrix. You suggested that the “A” matrix can be found by going to Explore > Industry Accounts > Reports tab > Export > Structural Matrices Elements > Regional IxI Direct Coefficients My another question will be, Is there any way to recover whole system of A matrix? In other words, if there are 400 industries in total, can I get a complete A matrix (400 by 400 matrix) as well? Thank you!0

IMPLAN SupportA region would only have a subset of the entire range of possible sectors. When you do a pivot table in Excel you will need to fill the nulls with zeros. Thank you.0
