Tax Payments made by an industry
If existing industry X pays $Y in local property tax, are the impacts of that payment already reflected in the overall total (including induced effect) multipliers shown? In other words, does the spending pattern reflect not only expenditures by industry X and its employees on goods and services, but also tax payments, which are then used by the local government?
Thanks!

IMPLAN SupportHi Jonathan, The tax impact report will include the local property tax payments paid by any industry that is involved in the impact (whether directly, indirectly through input purchases, or induced by household purchases). However, those tax payments are just those tax payments associated with the impact - that is, it is not the base level of tax payments. Also note that IMPLAN does not "re-spend" those tax payments in the default model set-up. You can include the re-spending in the impacts by changing your IMPLAN settings (see this article for more about this). Finally, note that the TOPI column's payments to the Property Tax row include homeowners' property tax payments on their homes. Please let us know if this helps in answering your question.0
