Issue with Multi-Regional Analysis
Hello, I was hoping you could help us with this dilemma as we’re under a deadline for a project. We downloaded the 2012 State Package for NY last week and wanted to include some counties for a multi-region analysis we were conducting with counties in PA, NJ, DE, MD and VA, for which we have 2011 data. When we tried to include the NY counties for this analysis, it gave us an error because the base years were different. Can you please allow us to download the 2011 NY State Package and we’ll remove the 2012 package from the one computer we installed it on? I've also sent this message to the info and support emails as well as to Sandy and Sara. Thanks so much!

IMPLAN SupportHi Pankaj. I think that we might have already answered your question in an earlier post. In addition to our initial reply, we also believe that it would be difficult to link models from two different time periods because of incompatibility of dollar values and economic multipliers involved the models. Also, we are not certain as to how you would explain the results from a scenario developed using data from different time periods even if you were able to perform this analysis in IMPLAN, which we don’t believe you can. We hope that this provides additional clarity to the problem you experienced when trying to link models MRIO models from time periods.0 -
