Is there anyway to isolate salaries and wages (i.e. exclude benefits and payroll taxes)?

IMPLAN SupportHi Joe. Could you please share a little more information about what you are doing? This would help us to more accurately address your question. Thanks!0 -
We are trying to find salaries and wages created by a project, without including the labor burden (benefits and payroll taxes).0

IMPLAN SupportHi Joe. There is one fairly easy way to do this by using a Labor Income Change. With a Labor Income Change Activity, the software will remove payroll taxes, social insurance taxes, commuters, personal taxes, and savings according to the rates reflected in the SAM for your region. Since the software will remove savings and if you want to leave this in their salaries and wages, you can calculate the savings rate, multiply this times your employee compensation figure, and add to the adjusted salaries and wages that is produced using the "Labor Income Change" and re-run your model. Here is how you would calculate the savings rate for your Study Region. Navigate to> Explore>Social Accounts>IxC Social Accounting Matrix. In the IxC SAM (Explore > Social Accounts > IxC Social Accounts Matrix), the Household columns' payments to the Capital row represent net savings, which includes paying down debt (i.e., principle). So the savings rate can be calculated by dividing the household column's payment to the Capital row (14001) by the column total. I hope this helps. Please let us know if you need further assistance.0
