Gemany Data
My firm recently purchased the Germany data, and we noticed that pharmaceutical data is unavailable. Can you tell us why – does Germany not report that data?

IMPLAN SupportHello Elizabeth, Great questions and it unfortunately ties back to OECD data reporting. All of the OECD country I-O tables have the same list of sectors but not all countries use all of the sectors. In other words, Germany probably includes its pharmaceutical data with another sector - most likely '9 Chemicals excluding pharmaceuticals' even though the name would suggest that it should not include pharmaceuticals. The same phenomenon is seen for multiple other countries, including the U.S., and for multiple other sectors (see attached spreadsheet). It appears that the countries fill in the OECD tables with their own more aggregate sector data for whatever reason. The sum of the data does match what is shown in the 'Total' row, which we are assuming to mean that the 0s are really 0s, rather than non-disclosed values that need to be estimated and added to the disclosed values. Hopefully this helps. --Implan Support Staff0
