Agricultural production output values
I am modeling economic impact of agricultural production in a high production region.The default IMPLAN output values for a few of the crops are significantly different from the output values reported at the county level. For example, IMPLAN data for output in Sector 4, Fruit Farming, for my analysis region is approximately $1 million while I know that output from this sector exceeds $70 million in this region. Can you tell me why this might be?

IMPLAN SupportHi Barbara, In your original post there was some additional information that we would like to ask you about. When you are indicating that there is $70MM of production in that Sector are you looking at the value of fruit farming, or are you looking at the total value of production associated to fruit farming in the region (e.g. fruit farming, frozen fruit production, canned fruit production, grocery store sales of fresh fruits, etc)or are you looking at just the value of farmer's production of fruit in your region? In addition could you please give us an idea of what Study Area geography you are working with, what data year, and what data set you are pulling the $70MM dollar figure from. Thanks!0
