transfers to state/local government
We constructed a new sector within IMPLAN using primary data. After customizing study area data, industry production, commodity production, and trade flows, the model was reconstructed. We exported the IxI matrix, and computed the aij matrix. Approximately $0.02 per dollar of output (looking down the column of the new sector) is allocated to state/local government noneducation (institution 12001). How is this amount/value determined, as we allocated all expenditures in the new industry to intermediate and value added components?

IMPLAN SupportHi Rebecca, This is do to commodities can be produced by more than one industry or institution. For example, if you go to Explore > Social Accounts > Balance Sheets tab > View By Commodity Balance Sheet and select commodity 3397 from the drop-down menu, you will see that this commodity is produced by industry 397 and State/Local Govt NonEducation.
