Contribution Analysis Walk Through
Hi,
Previously I had found on your website a basic walk through showing how to conduct a contribution analysis of an existing business. I believe there was a single industry and multi-industry tutorial if I remember right. However I can't seem to find a working website for these pages anywhere. I've looked through the forums and came across other links to them but they don't seem to load either. Could you possibly point me out in the right direction so I can figure out the correct steps in the process so I can accurately access the industry's contribution in my study.
Thanks.

IMPLAN SupportHi Brian, Thank you for your post. Here is the link to our Contribution Analysis walk through: http://implan.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=660:660&catid=253:KB33. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thanks!0 -
Perfect! Thank you very much. The other question I have with running a contribution analysis comes when doing the Multi Region Input Output (MRIO) function. Would I just go about making the same adjustments but for each location's model? Basically doing it as if it was single location outlined in the link above but going through it with each model? The other question is similar, if doing a MRIO contribution analysis for multiple industries would it follow a similar methodology outlined further down in that tutorial? Thanks Again!0

IMPLAN SupportHi Brian, If you set RPC = 0 for some commodities in the base model (say County A), then County A will not buy any of that commodity from any linked region (say County B) - i.e., any purchases of that commodity from County A is a total leakage. However, County B may still see some impacts to that commodity but they will come from later rounds of impacts from within its own county (i.e., County B industries purchasing it from other industries in County B). These will likely be very small but if you want to guarantee that they are 0, you will indeed have to adjust the RPCs in that model too. Thanks0
