How to do a statewide impact

I have an issue with an Implan run I created. I did a multiple region analysis, with 20,000 jobs in 374 and 2,000 jobs in 376 in Arapaho County, Colorado. When I run a multi region analysis, only a few indirect and induced jobs show up in Denver County, a contiguous and very large county, yet I get an impact that is 3x higher in Delta County, a rural community across the state, and a large impact in Eagle County, a mountain county 100 miles away. There is no way that this can be accurate. I also ran an El Paso County to Denver County flow analysis, and the results make sense. The problem must be in how you have set up Arapaho County. Since the outputs are being provided to the Governors Office and this is a high profile project, I cannot afford for it to be so glaringly wrong. Could you please check into this as soon as possible, as I have quite a lot of work to do in a short period of time. Thank you for your support. If you do make changes, how can I incorporate them without having to redo 2 full days of work I have done so far? Thank you

  • Hello, On initial response, we weren't able to recreate your results. Upon further investigation, it appears that the incorrect trade flows to the Colorado counties were loaded into the download utility, which then downloaded the incorrect trade flows onto your system. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please feel free to call 651-439-4421 line 2 at your convenience. We would like to use the remote desktop web application http://www.logmein123.com swap your trade flow files. Our business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 6:00PM Easter Standard Time. Best regards, IMPLAN Group Staff
