Hey Ben, Sorry for the delay in responding. Can you provide us a little more detail about what you are trying to accomplish? Is your direct selling across a series of industries and that is why is does not match to codes? Or is there another issue? What primary data do you have? We would certainly like to assist you in bridging to IMPLAN but it would help us to have a little more context to help us to do so. We look forward to helping you further.

Hello, We're trying to quantify the full socio-economic impact that our industry has in the U.S. This includes wanting to understand our industry's multiplier effect as well as components like jobs, wages, value of production, tax impact, etc.. We also want this type of data broken down by state or zip code. Our industry is more of a sales channel and spans across multiple SIC codes. We have the size of the industry in terms of estimated retail sales, number of people involved as independent contractors, number of employees, state by state breakdowns, etc... Please let me know what options/ solutions are available based on the info below or if there's anything else you would like to know.

Hi, Thank you for the additional information! To model the impacts of direct selling, you will need to know what is being sold. Once identified, you can then locate that Sector/ Industry that best fits the items that are being sold. I recommend using IMPLAN's Sector Search located in the IMPLAN Software (Help < Sector Search). This will allow you to type in a keyword search, which will populate Sector descriptions and Codes that best fit your keyword. We can assist you in finding the best Sector if you provide us additional information as to what is being sold. IMPLAN will be able to provide you with values for Employment, Employee Compensation, Taxes and Output, etc for each Sector for the region you decide to build your model on (zip codes, counties, state level or US level). Thanks!
