Hi Anne, Thank you for your post! You are correct that in most cases Industry Sales or technically Sum of Event Values should equal your Direct Output. Could you provide us with additional information on your study so that we can replicate your study. Are you using the PA total file or a county in PA? Are you entering a production value for sector 20? When you are viewing your results, is your Dollar Year for View the same as your Event Year? Did you apply margins to this sector? Did you change the LPP field to something other than 100%? Did you do anything else besides enter in your Industry Sales and analyze the results? Thanks!

Yes I can explain the different aspects of the scenario: -Using total PA file (2013 set) -Entered $7,500,000,000 in the industry sales for sector 20. This is our low estimate of the value of production for the industry in PA for one year. -Using 2018 as the event year. -LPP is 100%. No margins applied. -Ran the scenario as described and results were generated. -Dollar Year for view is current year - 2015. Should I change this to match the event year? That should be what you need. I have attached the Summary Results in an excel file. Thanks!

Hi Anne, Thank you for providing us the information that we needed. I was able to replicate your study with the difference in Industry Sales and then your Direct Output. However, I changed the Dollar Year for View to 2018, the Industry Sales and Output matched. I recommend setting your Dollar Year for View to 2018. When you view your results in 2015 dollars your 2018 values are being deflated to it's 2015 equivalent dollars. You are seeing a difference in measurement like converting from mm to cm will give you an equivalent value even though the cm appears smaller. If this doesn't seem to resolve the issue, please let us know.
