Employee Compensation for Commuters
Hello,
I was looking at a situation where a great deal of commuters are coming into an area to work and was looking at this page on your site
https://implan.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=737
and at the bottom it states,
"After the scenario has been run, add the difference (EC - newEC) back to your direct EC effect since by definition EC occurs at the site of employment. This way, you correctly account for the in-commuters' direct effect, but you have made sure that they did not generate any further local impact."
My question is do I add anything to direct value added in the results? If I decrease the EC, the direct value added falls as well. Or does it not matter since VA is measuring the income to the region and if I decrease EC, that decreases income?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

IMPLAN SupportHi Rob, Thank you for your post. Value Added should be set back to it's original value as well. Thanks!0
