I am seeking to model a phased hiring schedule in IMPLAN and the impact of this job creation on 3 different counties (Lake, IN, Lake, IL, and Cook, IL). New employees will be hired in 2018, 2022, and 2025. Total hiring over this period will be 505 FTEs. I have approached modeling this via industry change activities for each phase, including modification of both the employment amount, as well as the total compensation as I know the estimated average salary per phase. My questions are as follows: 1. Is 'industry change" the appropriate activity type for this kind of analysis? 2. When I run an analysis on the multi-phase employment impact in Cook County, I get a direct labor income figure that translates to ~$900K per direct employee. This seems extremely high compared to the other two communities were the ratio is more in line with the rates entered in the setup activities pane. Is it possible to realize this much of a impact variance between counties? Thanks in advance for the swift response.
