Question pertaining to crop insurance

Good Morning, I am trying to determine if IMPLAN costs and revenues include crop insurance premiums and indemnity payments. If you could provide some information and explanation as to what is included in the IMPLAN costs and revenues. Thank you for your help and assistance with this matter. Regards, Dan

    Hello Dan, Payments for insurance premiums are part of intermediate expenditures for businesses. Indemnity payments from crop insurance are included in farm income according to the BEA, which is IMPLAN’s primary source for farm proprietor’s income and other property income.  It would be part of Other Property Income in IMPLAN.
