Hi,

I do have a simple question. What actually does study area value represent, direct effect or total effect? If I am asked to interpret study area data, is it correct if I call it total effect? I am saying this because when you look at scenario result in the detail results section (after running impact analysis for the single sector as for example sector 15) it tends to match with study area data when you add direct, indirect and induced for a  sector (say sector 15). I do acknowledge that total effect of sector 15 is the sum of direct, indirect, and induced impact on other secondary industry.

    Hello,

Thank you for your question. The Industry Summary and Industry Detail tabs of the Study Area Data represent production in the local region (going to met demand locally and non-locally). The demand tabs represent local demand from those institutions. Finally the Demographics tab represents population of the region in each Income Group. Please find more information about the Study Area Data here.

This data is specific to the region, but not to any impact. It reflects the state of the economy in the Model Year. The matching you are see with this data and your analysis results is only a coincidence.

    Thank you,

    Maria
