Employment Assumption for Custom Region

I created a custom region to include the industry 511 - State government passenger transit, an industry that does not currently exist in the region I am analyzing. I am applying National Ratios.

My question is: when specifying employment for this new industry during region customization, should I enter the expected employment generated by the economic event I’m modeling, or should this field reflect the existing employment for this industry in the county (even though it’s currently zero)?

Any guidance for handling this in the region customization process would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Heidi,

     

    You must enter a number for the Employment to add the Industry to the Region. You could enter a 1 or the number you know or expect for the Employment for the Industry.
